Matthew offers private clarinet lessons at a rate of $25/hour, or $15/half-hour. Lessons are given in his home studio, but if necessary, he may be able to travel to a student's home. If you are interested in contacting him for lessons, please use the form on the "Contact" page, and select the "Lessons" radio button.

In addition to his services as a teacher, Matthew is also available for hire as a performer. He and his bassoonist wife, Rebecca, are available for wedding ceremonies, chamber music, and many other events. To book Matthew and/or Rebecca, please use the form on the "Contact" page, and select the "Performance" radio button.

Equipment

Matthew plays Buffet R-13 clarinets, with a mouthpiece by Dan Johnston. His barrels are the 'Muncy' cut by Muncy Winds, and he uses a Peter Spriggs 'Floating Rail' ligature. Currently, he makes his own reeds by hand.
